Alexandrite 6.789 ct

This alexandrite shows a color change from Bluish Green in daylight to Greyish Purple in artificial light. The stone has a weight of around 6.8 carats and is a little longer than 1.3 cm, a little wider than 1 cm and not quite 6.2 millimeters deep.

This alexandrite has small inclusions.

The transparent gemstone was cut into a faceted oval. The upper part of the stone was double-brilliant and the lower part was made in the Portuguese cut. This type of cut is also known as the “Modified Brilliant Cut”.
