Blue sapphire 4.280 ct
This sapphire is blue. The weight of the colored stone is 4.2 carats. The stone is a little longer than 1 cm, 8 millimeters wide and 5 millimeters deep.
A Lotus Gemology certificate was issued for this stone. Lotus Gemology is based in Bangkok, the metropolis for the colored stone trade. The laboratory is headed by Richard Hughes, one of the most recognized specialists in corundum and author of the classic Ruby & Sapphire. Lotus Gemology has this stone with “Pastel” excellent. The Edelstein Prüfinstitut has collected its own color names for rubies and sapphires. “Pastel” is one of those Color types according to Lotus Gemology .
This gemstone has small inclusions and no signs of thermal process on.
The blue transparent gemstone was cut into a faceted oval with a brilliant top and four faceted wreaths below.
The Lotus certificate shows that the sapphire was originally made Myanmar (Burma) originates.
