Padparadscha sapphire 1.106 ct
The Padparadscha sapphire is a variety of the mineral corundum.
This gemstone is orange pink and weighs 1.1 carat. The stone is 6.7 millimeters long, almost 6 millimeters wide and 3.1 millimeters deep. GRS specifies “orangy pink” as the color, more orange than pink, and even gives this stone an award, the name (GRS-type “Sunrise”) . GRS has reserved its own color names for special gemstones. “Sunrise” is one of them Color types according to GRS .
This sapphire has clear inclusions and one very good color quality. It could no signs of thermal treatment to be established.
The transparent stone was cut into a faceted antique rectangle (cushion cut). The upper part of the stone has been brilliant and the lower part has three facet wreaths. This type of cut is also called “Ceylon Cut” in the trade.
GRS confirms that this Padparadscha is made Sri Lanka originates.
