Padparadscha sapphire 1.347 ct

Padparadscha sapphires, like all sapphires and rubies, belong to the corundum group.

This sapphire is pink-orange and weighs 1.3 carat. The stone is 7 millimeters long, 6 millimeters wide and not quite 4 millimeters deep. GRS specifies “Pinkishp-Orange” as the color, more pink than orange, and even gives this stone a distinction, the name (GRS-type “Sunset”) . GRS has reserved its own color names for special gemstones. “Sunset” is one of them Color types according to GRS .

This Padparadscha sapphire has small inclusions as well as one very good color quality .

The transparent sapphire has been cut into a faceted oval with a brilliant top and four to five beveled wreaths at the bottom. This type of cut is also known as “Ceylon Cut” in the gem trade.

This stone comes from Sri Lanka as can be found in the Gemresearch Swisslab (GRS) certificate.
